New direct flights from Liverpool to Malta with easyJet

easyJet to Launch New Year-Round Route from Liverpool to Malta

easyJet has announced the launch of a new year-round route between Liverpool and Malta. Commencing on December 10, 2024, flights will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Sundays throughout the year.

This new route to Malta marks the fourth addition to easyJet’s Liverpool network in the past year, following the introduction of services to Enfida in Tunisia, Hurghada in Egypt, and the Greek island of Corfu.

Malta, known for its stunning coastlines, crystal-clear waters, and abundant sunshine, offers visitors a wealth of experiences. From cultural getaways to relaxing beach breaks and thrilling scuba diving adventures, the archipelago has something for everyone.

Travelers can also book package holidays to Malta through easyJet holidays, with options ranging from family-friendly, all-inclusive resorts like the 4-star db San Antonio Hotel and Spa to adults-only luxury accommodations at the 4-star Seaview Hotel in St Pauls Bay.

Ali Gayward, Malta Country Manager for easyJet, expressed excitement about the new route, highlighting the increased connectivity it provides for customers in the North West. Paul Winfield, Aviation Director for LJLA, also welcomed the addition, citing the popularity of Malta among holidaymakers from the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

With only 9% of flights to Malta from the North West currently departing from Liverpool, there is significant potential for growth on this route. The expanded service will allow more passengers from the region to enjoy the convenience of flying to Malta from Liverpool.

easyJet now boasts seven aircraft based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, serving around 2 million passengers annually with up to 340 flights per week to 27 destinations. The airline, founded in the UK nearly 30 years ago, has flown over 800 million customers and operates 500 routes to more than 120 destinations across Europe and beyond.

For travelers seeking holiday options, easyJet holidays offers a diverse range of over 7,000 hotels in 100 destinations across Europe and North Africa. Travel dates are available until October 2025, and all packages include flights, hotel stays, 23kg luggage allowance, and transfers for beach holidays.

With its Ultimate Flexibility guarantee, easyJet holidays provides the freedom to change bookings, a refund guarantee, and the best price guarantee for added peace of mind. Explore the wonders of Malta with easyJet’s new year-round route from Liverpool.
