‘Continued social responsibility efforts of Together We Thrive initiative’
Rabdan Academy recently hosted an event for orphaned children as part of its social responsibility initiative, Together We Thrive, at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi on Yas Island. In collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the event welcomed 15 orphaned children aged between 5 and 12 years-old, along with their foster families.
The day included a tour of the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Centre, the largest integrated facility for marine life conservation in the MENA region. Attendees learned about the center’s role in conservation efforts, including animal care, rescue, rehabilitation, and research initiatives to preserve marine life in the region.
Salem Saeed Al Saeedi, Vice President of Rabdan Academy, emphasized the academy’s commitment to integrating orphans into society and supporting the government’s efforts to ensure security and social stability for all demographics. The Together We Thrive initiative aims to promote social solidarity and charitable work, aligning with the academy’s 2024 strategy.
The event also received praise from Salem Al Suwaidi, Director of Emirates Red Crescent’s Abu Dhabi Centre, for supporting orphans and fostering partnerships to enhance humanitarian programs. Thomas Kaferle, General Manager of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, expressed excitement for hosting the children and providing educational experiences to inspire a deeper appreciation for marine life.
Interactive experiences and games allowed the children to explore themed realms at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, including educational presentations on marine life behaviors. Rabdan Academy employees engaged in interactive activities to nurture the children’s creative thinking skills as part of their community engagement efforts.
The Together We Thrive initiative is a key component of Rabdan Academy’s strategic plan to contribute to societal growth and development through impactful community engagement.
