‘Announcement of Board of Directors for 2024-2025’

The American Society of Transplantation (AST) has recently announced its newly elected Board Members for the 2024-2025 term. The results were revealed during the 2024 AST Town Hall meeting held on June 3, 2024.

Dr. Jon Kobashigawa has taken on the role of AST President, bringing his expertise as the Director of the Heart Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute. Dr. Josh Levitsky, a distinguished member, has transitioned into the position of AST Past President, where his valuable contributions and leadership will continue to benefit the Society.

Dr. Dave Foley from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health has been elected as the new President-Elect of the Society, while Dr. Jonathan Maltzman from Stanford University will serve as the AST Treasurer.

Additionally, three new Councilors-at-Large have joined the Board: Drs. Darshana Dadhania, Paolo Cravedi, and Ms. Lisa Coscia. On the other hand, the AST’s Past President, Dr. Deepali Kumar, has completed her term, and three Councilors-at-Large have rotated off the Board of Directors: Drs. Vineeta Kumar, Marie Chisholm-Burns, and Mandy Ford.

The newly elected Board Members will work together to advance the mission and goals of the American Society of Transplantation in the coming year.
