A downtown taco restaurant says it’s temporarily closing its doors because of a positive case of COVID-19.

“Due to a positive case of Covid-19, and because safety is our favourite, we are temporarily closing in order to do a proper sanitization and thorough cleaning,” reads a post on The Mule’s Facebook page.

All staff members are being tested “out of an abundance of caution,” it adds.

The post does not say whether the positive case involves someone working at The Mule or a guest who ate there.

CBC News has contacted the restaurant for comment.

The popular restaurant is part of an outdoor dining area along King William Street.

The Mule says it will reopen Thursday as long as it can ensure its customers and employees will be safe.
