During their discussions, Harry shared how he has previously “experienced burnout” and now meditates daily to avoid this happening again.

He said: “Even if you do have 15 minutes slate of white space, I now put in about half an hour or 45 minutes in the morning when I’m like, ‘okay, one of the kids has gone to school, the other one is taking a nap’ there’s a break in our programme.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, 40, moved to the US with their son Archie, 2, back in April 2020, at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The pair later welcomed their second child Lilibet, whose name is a tribute to Her Majesty the Queen, in June the following year.

In the frank discussion, Harry also credited daily exercise and time spent outside as important parts of his routine to stay well.

He added: “It’s either for workouts, taking the dog for a walk, get out into nature, maybe meditate.”

Harry previously opened up about combining alternative therapies with traditional medicine to help deal with his mental health problems.

The royal uses EMDR or ‘tapping’ methods to address his energy balance and begin to alleviate his symptoms and treat his PTSD diagnosis.

Sanja Oakley led a session with him on camera during the AppleTV series, The Me You Can’t See.

Often, EDMR will be offered as a substitute to cognitive behavioural therapy and has been found to be more effective by some studies.

Other celebrity fans of the technique include Oprah and Jameela Jamil, who said it “saved her life”.
