Mayor Adams commits to creating 100,000 new housing units in Manhattan over the next decade, equivalent to a second Upper West Side.

Mayor Eric Adams pledged on Thursday to develop 100,000 new housing units in Manhattan over the next ten years, supplementing the approximately 900,000 existing residences on the island. This initiative is referred to as “The Manhattan Plan.”
